The link to the radio support specs are in this link. http://m.androidcentral.com/lte-nexus-7-now-available-google-play. For a GSM networks it supports a number of frequencies including LTE which is a GSM based network. It just doesn't have the CDMA radios.

I had the iPad for a few years before I got the mini. I had no problem with it during that time. Now with the mini, I find the iPad to fee bulky when I use it and as a result, I normally grab the mini.
I also find the mini to be easier to handle, less cumbersome, on planes when traveling.

That's the old model. The 2013 model was added to the store yesterday. https://play.google.com/store/devices/details/Nexus_7_32GB_WiFi_Mobile_data_Unlocked_T_Mobile_SI?id=...

I agree with this on the size comparison to the Android tablets (10.1" & 7") I have handled as well.

I guess that I'm different, in that I prefer 10-inch tablets. I have used a seven-inch tablet (that I ended up returning for various reasons) and find them uncomfortable for me to use. I want to hold a seven-inch tablet like a phone, but it gets awkward. Holding it in the landscape orientation makes it seemed cramped to try to type on, but still too big to use with one hand.
Keep in mind that I like large phones, as well. I use the Note series of phones, so that may be why seven-inch tablets seem too small for me. I thought the same thing three years ago, which is before I ever used larger phones though.
