Normal battery life is completely dependent on what settings you have on your phone.
For example, screen time-out and screen brightness can be serious drains on the battery. If you have the screen time-out set for 10 minutes from the last use of the screen and screen brightness on high, then your battery will drain at a MUCH higher rate than one with screen time-out set for 30 sec and screen brightness set on medium.
You can go into your settings and look at your usage statistics to see what is the biggest use of power on the phone. It will most likely be the screen.
Keep in mind when a phone is new, you are more likely to be fiddling with the phone with more time spent with the screen in the "on" position than after you have had the phone for awhile. Regardless, this phone does NOT have the biggest battery around and you may want to look into getting the extended battery.
