Computer does not recognize my phone/SD card

I have a new Razr HD. I have installed a 16 GB micro SD card, and my phone reports that it is there. When I plug the phone into my computer (Dell Inspiron 1525 running Win-7) the computer will charge the phone, but will not recognize it or the card, and gives me the unrecognized device box. Do I need to find and download special drivers for this? I want to move music from my computer to the SD card.

By default, your phone is probably in charge only mode when  connected via usb.  After it's connected, pull down the notification shade and select the usb connected notification.  This will take you to a screen where you can change it to the proper mode.

As usual, it was an 'OMG, I did that?" mistake. I picked up the wrong charger cord. I used the cord from my old LG basic phone. It charged the Droid just fine. When I noticed what I had done, I switched to the correct Droid usb/charger cord and my computer recognized my phone as soon as I plugged it into the computer.
