Well Starman54, I left Verizon after 12 years. Went to AT&T and grabbed the S4 32GB over on their network. I gave up unlimited data to do it, but I could care less. Tooo many good phones are never coming to Verizon and they have larger storage options to boot. I just received the update to move apps to SD card on my Galaxy S4 yesterday and Sprint got it Monday. When is the ability coming to Verizon? Who knows.... Typical Verizon and how they mess up everything to include the shipping of the Galaxy S4 32GB to the customers they promised last week to send to. In the end, I'm tired of not receiving timely updates to cell phones and the inability to bring my own cell phones onto their network. Im hearing no other Google Nexus phones will ever come out on Verizon in the foreseeable future, so it kind of put the deathknell in the coffin for VZW with me. Lack of legitimate phones, monopolistic behavior, removal of essential phone features, forced massive bloatware, and lack of timely updates made me leave. Good luck with getting the S4 32GB after being put through a long wait because I'm done with VZW.

The same update became available for the Verizon Wireless Galaxy S4 yesterday too. It is available through Samsung's Kies installer application.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Yes Ann154, it came yesterday, but it's a little too late for most people when they know any other updates will take forever to get. Compare apples to oranges when it comes to the same phones on other carriers. Every carrier updates their phones a whole lot quicker than Verizon. Verizon will leave you with the same outdated version of Android for years, even after the others have updated their devices. A good example is the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Additionally, does VZW ever get unlocked phones on Google Play? Nope. Do they have the HTC One yet? Do they have the Samsung S4 Active? Why should the customer beg the provider to go out and get a phone to turn around and have them gimp it with allot of bloatware and removed features? Add insult to injury and VZW charges you 50 dollars more than their competitors for the exact same phone (Galaxy S4 32GB). It's allot of things going wrong on that ship called VZW and it just keeps getting worse daily. After getting 4 broken "refurbished" Galaxy S3's, it was time to make the jump. Others are happy with their service, but many of us know that they do not care for any of their long term customers. So if they don't care, then they don't need the almost two hundred dollars a month that they were getting from me.

The update for Verizon’s variant of the Samsung Galaxy S4 is receiving an over-the-air (OTA) update this morning. ... are still waiting for Big Red to publish the changelog, but are assuming that it’s the same update that was available yesterday via desktop upgrade assistant.

The update includes apps-to-SD support, and also patches the previous bootloader and root exploits.

So if you are into hacking your device, I’d try to put this one off if you can.

To grab the update, head into Settings>More>About phone>Software update>Check new.
