Samsung Kies for Note II

Anyone had luck using their "Verizon" Note II with Kies? Seems Verizon Note II's are the only ones not to work. Is this true or is there a trick to make it work?

Currently, KIES is not supported by Verizon. Unfortunately, Verizon sold us a watered down version of the Galaxy Note II. A lot of apps supported by other carriers are not supported by Verizon, such as multiwindow (they gave us a lite version of this apps), S-calander, and several other apps.

Not really. Love my Galaxy Note II even if it is missing all the bells and whistles. Maybe one day Verizon will se fit to give them to us.

Hey Pariyah!

Kies is totally a great application for device correspondence from browser management so I know it's very important for you to have these capabilities. At the moment, Kies live (desktop version) for management and syncing is not supported on the Note 2. However, even with that said, may I please ask what you were looking to sync from device to device? There are more than a few third party applications that you can locate via the Play Store depending on what you're trying to do. I think it's definitely worth a shot taking a look at.

just to correct the above post. kies live IS in fact supported by the Note II.....just not verizon's version. we shouldn't have to download other apps to do what this phone does, stock, on every other carrier.

Hey, Verizon, if Kies is not supported, why does your Owner's Manual recommend its use?

Maybe because the Owner's manual was written by Samsung and not Verizon?

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Has the Verizon logo on it, so I think Verizon needs to take ownership here.

yeah...i have to say that if they can take the time to remove the feature from the phone, they could have taken the time to remove the instructions on how to use the feature from the manual.
