So Thursday I went up to Verizon and got a Note 2. Crazily enough, I mom got insurance on my it which we never do and sure enough, I dropped it THREE FEET and the whole screen is cracked... I had bought a case on Amazon but get this... the order was delayed. So I have a 2 day old Note 2 with a shattered screen. Will Verizon replace phones with cracked screens if you're insured, or am I just out of luck?

Verizon won't but the insurance provider will. There will be a deductible, just like with a vehicle and you will most likely will receive a reconditioned Note.

Not a likely task for VZW to do but if you have insurance on you device they will replace your phone with a refurbished one after you pay your deductible of maybe $100.00. If you don't have the insurance that was offered when you purchased your device then you may want to see if you can get the device repaired by Samsung and the cost of that will be yours.

Sorry to hear that. The SAME THING happened to me. I have had my Note for less than 30 days and it dropped from a table and cracked the screen on the upper left side as well as all the way down the side. I had some tiny shards of glass come out in my ear when I was trying to take a call. Talk about disappointing quality! I have the Samsung flip case, which provides ZERO protection in case of a drop. I will be getting a different type that provides more protection because these devices are ridiculously fragile.
I made a claim through Asurion Insurance, paid a $99 deductible, and should have my new phone tomorrow. If it is refurbished, I will be sending it back. I paid full retail for my phone and I expect a new phone since it's only been on the market since late November. I could understand refurbished if it had been out for a year or two. This is my first insurance claim and I hope it goes smoothly. Good luck with yours.

According to insurance the replacement can be used or refurbished, and given at their discretion. You are filing a claim on a USED phone, its possible you will get the same in return. I don't care how m uch you paid for it.

What's to clam down? I'm not angry. I'm not sure where you would even get that idea.
