Nope! Guess I can take it to a friend's house and hope they have 7.

Hey, maybe now we can "blame" Microsoft if it is a Windows 8 problem. 🙂

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

WOW, no blame on Motorola or Verizon? What a shocking concept.. (LOL)

I have to say, I really love my Razr M, well as much a person can love an inanimate object. It was a pain to learn how to use it at first, but with that past me, no looking back.

Well maybe Motorola for not submitting the MTP drivers to Microsoft so they can be included in the operating system. Although Motorola could post them on their website for download.

Verizon Wireless may or may not have been able to test the USB connection before Windows 8 was released to the public.

I'm going to try to go back to Windows 7. Might have to get rid of all my stuff, but I do have rescue disks. If and when I reinstall Windows 7, I'll give it another shot. However, I think that it's Jelly Bean causing the problem. Oh, for the good old days of Ice Cream Sandwich or even Ginger Bread. I understand that their next upgrade is going to be named Fruitcake, because a bunch of fruitcakes will be developing it .

It's a problem with Motorola. They are aware of the problem and was pinpointed to their software implementation. So it has to be drivers or their factory image.

I'm new to smart phones.  I just disabled my 3/4G to keep my droid from draining my data plan.  My question is, will my phone function and texting still work while this is disabled?  There is still an old school signal bar showing. I currently have the wifi shut off too since I don't have wifi access at house yet and don't want to drain the battery searching for it.

Yes, but you will not be able to download mms unless you are connected to mobile data.

Even though you've disconnected 3/4G, you still will be getting data, but at a very, very slow speed. 4G is the hare and 1G is a snail (not even a turtle). Email, for example. To save data don't stream music or videos too much, they are the biggest culprit. Don't browse the net excessively, another culprit. Don't download too many apps, another culprit. To keep tabs on your data usage, just check it daily on this site. To do anything with the Droid, I definitely recommend turning 4G back on.

Ahhh, all these Don'ts. Makes me want to ditch my M and go back to 2 cans and a string.
