Huh??? Of course it will connect through the Verizon network. If you want to connect through 4G, turn wi-fi OFF and turn Mobile Data ON. The settings are on the screen to the left of the home screen and also in the SETTINGS menus.

I tried that several times yesterday and it would never connect except thru wifi. Today I took out the sim card and put it back in. I just turned off wifi and it did connect! Thank you!

A few people have reported that they had to wait for up to a day for their account to fully register and be totally functional on the Verizon network. Something must get hung in a queue somewhere and needs a trigger that only happens once a day.

Debbie if you have any more issues with your Droid M and the Sim Card.. you Take it back to the Store you got it at they will replace it for ya. One thing to remember and this is something that i have told allot of Customers on here. Sim Cards are Very Sensible when your handle them the best way is by there edges our fingers have oils and Static Electricity and the two of them mixed together is what i call a Toxic soup for the Gold area of the Card it can cause the Device to run in unstable manner or at time not at all.. But i just wanted to pass that along and i hope you have lots of fun with you Droid M.. b33

Have been without text messaging inbound and without phone service inbound and outbound for a while now in the southeast US. Happens on different droids and iphones, yet the other data stuff works. I can surf netflix or the web just fine. Cant connect to anything that uses verizons servers though, thus making the phone useless as a phone. Have you tried to connect to other non-verizon applications? What region of the US are you in?

Just a reminder in case you did not know, wifi ALWAYS takes precedence over broadband when it is connected. If both are on and connected, your phone will use wifi first, and this throws some people off when they cannot connect to things.

My phone won't let me turn both on. That would be my preference. Now I have
to physically turn off wifi and turn on Data plan and vice versa to connect.

It should allow you to have both on at the same time.
