If you're a Verizon customer and you try to call or text someone who is also a Verizon customer but they have you blocked will you get notified on the phone if you try to call them that they blocked you or will the phone just keep ringing? If you try to send a text message and they have you blocked from sending them text messages will you receive a text message saying that they blocked you from sending them text messages or will you be able to send them a text message without them responding because they blocked you? If anyone can help me out it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I think someone else has asked that same question recently. Have you tried to search for the answer on this peer to peer community Forum?
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Yes they get a caller has you blocked notice on calls I think texts go through as undeliverable but iMessage is not affected by caller block as it uses data like an instant message would

That's weird because I just came from a Verizon Wireless store at the local mall and the representative told me that there's no way of knowing whether someone blocked you or not. I asked if you would get any kind of notification on the phone or through a text message and he said no. I asked him if there was a way to check and he said no and that it was confidential

If they blocked your number using the usage controls you won't get a message but when you call the number you get a rapid busy signal. It will not ring for you. As far as texts...they will not be delivered. iMessages though...they may actually still be delivered. You can tell simply check by asking a friend with an iPhone to temp block you and then try sending an iMessage...if it still goes through it will say "delivered"...otherwise you may get the red error sign.

I don't know if this person blocked me or not. I've been sending text messages to this person and they're either not getting them or they're ignoring me. I thought about changing my number but I already did that once and it costs money. I just want to find out what I did or why this person is ignoring me. This person doesn't have an iPhone so the whole iMessage thing wouldn't apply.
