I Need to Locate my RAZR, HOW DO I?

SO I PAY VERIZON WIRELESS OVER A THOUSAND DOLLARS A YEAR FOR THE PAST 4 YEARS AND MY RAZR GOT STOLLEN AND THEY TOLD ME AT THE STORE THAT THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO TO LOCATE MY DEVICE THAT I PAYED DAMN NEAR $300 DOLLARS FOR AND I PAY THE INSURANCE. AND IN ADDITION TO THAT WHICH BY THE WAY IS $100 A MONTH BILL, THEY WANT ANOTHER $6.99 A MONTH FOR EXTRA PROTECTION SO THEY CAN LOCATE IT WITH GPS, I'M NOT RICH, IM BARELY SURVIIVING , SO HOW DO I LOCATE MY STOLLEN DEVICE WITHOUT GIVING AN ARM AND A LEG?? IT HAS ALOT OF PERSONAL INFO THAT I NEED AND DONT NEED SOME WEIRDO OUT THERE HAVING ACCESS TO MY MOMS ADDRESSS, MY DADS PERSONAL INFO, STUFF LIKE THAT.... SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE!!!

If you did not have the insurance plan that also has the tracking software ability, you could have done a google search and turned up a lot of applications that would allow you to do this - some free and some minimal registration costs.  One site I found with info on 5 was http://www.androidtapp.com/5-best-android-apps-to-find-a-lost-or-stolen-phone-android-app-recommenda... it shows some common ones.  Once it's gone without any software on it, you are at the mercy of your local law enforcement recovering it (unlikely).  TEC is $6.99 a month and has both insurance against loss/theft/damage and extends the warranty.  It further has locating support on supported devices via GPS.  I pay it on all 3 lines I have active - and we are on a tight budget also.  I just give up some of the junk food I eat to afford it.

Ok thanks for the info, I Hate this feeling , not knowing what these people are doing with my personal information and all that . I'm deffinitely paying the $6.99 this next phone I get. Thanks again. wish me luck!

Joshua Did you Have your No. Suspended if not i Would get it Done Very Soon That Way it's Basically Useless to Them An if they Try to Go into a Store and have it Re-activated it will come up stolen..

if you car gets stolen and you dont have lowjack how do you find it?

most theives will just do a factory reset and sell the device, dont worry

a good thief can get any password,credit card, or any info you've ever put into a text box on the device.. so yah might want to change some of those

I'm so very glad you were able to suspend your phone. The good news is that you have insurance. When you get your replacement, you should install Mobile Recovery

you neglect to mention that mobile recovery & any other app like it, pulls a lot of battery to function. i tried one offered up by a vendor when i 1st got the droid x & with everything it wanted,  it pulled the battery down to nothing overnite when the phone wasn't being used.

that's why plan b is slick, to be used after the fact.
