All it kept doing was Connecting Disconnecting , never connected to drop the connection. This went on couple of daystill I upgraded the data plan
It connected & stayed connected after agreeing to the upgrade plan within minutes. Just seems a little suspcious

it's hard telling but trying to live within a 150meg plan is ludicrous with a smart phone..
your laptop connecting to wi-fi is thru your isp, the phone thru your verizon account, apples & oranges.

I'v used this 150 plan along with my MiFi for about 18 months without a problem. This was the first time I went over the 150 limit and that was only because the WiFi wasn't working. Again as soon as the data plan was upgraded to 2G the WiFi began working. I still say it seems very suspicious.

Laptop is also thru MiFi no apples & oranges here. MiFi 5G leaves a lot of room for both. The $50 5G data plan for the MiFi was saving me the extra $ that i didn't need for the Smart Phone upgrade data plan.

5g limit on on wi-fi for laptop & other wi-fi items is still separate from the old 150meg limit from verizon. i'll see updates bigger than 150meg, so you weren't always using wi-fi.
here's mine from myverizon for 5 days.

There is no limit on the WiFi, the 150 plan refers to the 3G plan. The data updates for the phone itself are not charged against you. Some apps update data maybe charged against you. I'm pretty sure I don't have or use them. Still thinking it's something is a little suspicious.
