OK i just got the new droid bionic. i used my PC to put my ringtones on it and when i disconnected it my PC froze so i had to force it to shut down. this has happened every time i unplug it from my PC. i have restarted my PC, updated the drivers , and changed the USB settings on the phone. I have searched many forums and none have mentioned this problem.please if someone can shed some light on this, it would be greatly appreciated

Are you just unplugging it or are you clicking on the usb symbol and removing the usb the safe way. If you are just unplugging it, this may be your problem. There is a right way and a wrong way to disconnect any usb from your computer. Check your particular computer for the correct way.

Then my next guess would be that you have a faulty USB plug in your computer. Have you tried other USBs on it? Maybe your friend has a USB plug that you can try. If it freezes on disconnect, than you know that you do have a bad plug.

Try plugging in and disconnecting a similar USB device, maybe somebody else's Android. Figure out whether it's a problem with your phone in particular or your computer. It sounds like an issue with your computer, maybe a USB controller.
