Yeah, so I've been through this as well a hundred times, and gotten no help offered by Verizon.  Strangely, this started happening when I installed updates to my phone, which happened to be at about the year and a half mark - ie, 6 months before I was to sign a new contract.  Now I have a phone that re-boots in the middle of calls, after a game of Boggle, or when it has been sitting in my pocket for too long.  I've talked to Verizon, and they'll give me a new phone - if I re-sign early.  Which means my options are: 1) re-sign to a company that gives lousy service and won't actually stand behind what they sell; or 2) don't re-sign, do without reliable phone service for several months or 3) pay the penalty for cancelling my service early and go to another company.  Odd that these are my choices because they all seem to be pushing me towards, well, re-signing!  And this all started happening when I downloaded the 'updates'.  Hmm...interesting.

Have you done a master reset?

Master reset is the only way to go here.  I had the same problem and tried everything suggested by lots of experts.  The good news is that if you do the reset and are patient, your google account will reinstall all the paid apps as well as your contacts and (in my case) the media.

I had same reboot loop problem on a Droid Pro, but it would only enter the reboot loop when scanning for wireless networks.  This started after the last Verizon update.   The problem seems to have stopped when I disabled the "enable auto IP" setting under "advanced" settings.

I just have to say that most of you posters are not helpful - if you don't have anything useful to suggest, shut up.

Same issue with my phone.  Master reset didn't work and no help from Verizon.  Extremely frustrating.

Maybe someone should explain what a master reset is.  The store took my battery out and waited for a couple of minutes and then reinstalled the battery and restarted.  Didn't work for long before it was right back at it.  I'm on the third Incredible replacement phone.  My battery is always hot when the looping starts.  It will do it when talking, when texting, when using the internet.  Lately, it will do it on its own when nothing is going on.  Suggestions that work?

Removal of SD card and master reset didn't work for me.

Just to be sure, here is the master reset process:

First, I'd remove the SD card

Menu>Settings>SD & Phone Storage>Factory Data Reset

Once you do that, the phone will be returned to its original condition just as when you bought it.  That means all yourapps, contacts, account info, data, etc will be gone. You will need to reactivate and set up from scratch. If you set up a google account (or already had one) when you bought the phone, then the paid apps, contacts and calendar will be restored over the next several minutes to hours after the reset, just be patient.  The free apps won't come back, so you may want to make a list of the apps you have. You can reinsert the SD card after the reset.  Be patient with this process and MAKE SURE IT IS PLUGGED INTO ITS CHARGER.

It turned out, my problem was a botched OS upgrade from over the air.  The phone said it was upgrading to Android 4.01 even though we all know that's not happening. It kept trying to reboot to re-install the incompletely downloaded (i.e., corrupted) OS.  After the reset, it upgraded to Android 2.3.4 and has been fine ever since (about 6 months).

Another issue with the phone is that it has limited application data space.  This is NOT the same thing as phone or SD storage but is the internal OS set-aside for application data.  If you're seeing low space warnings on the phone, clear out your text messages and make sure all the photos are on the SD card (the reset will clear everything anyway). Then go to Menu>settings>Applications>Manage Applicattions, sort by size, if not sorted that way already.  Then any apps that can be moved to SD card should be moved.  This will help loads.  Even after a reset, you should do this just to prevent a recurrence.

The other thing about the rebooting is that it can be caused by apps that conflict with each other, same as on a computer.  You may have a couple of freebie apps that don't behave well.

Very funny (well not really) that the day I read this post in the Verizon forum is the very day that my Droid Incredible starts rebooting in a loop! I was listening to music (local on my SD card) when it happened 5 times today. On the 3rd time, my battery went from more than half full to 1/4 (yellow). The 4th time it went to please charge your battery. I plugged it in and let it charge and it reboots before I can open the menu every time. Even when I run in safe mode. I've also removed the SD card to see if that helped... no luck. How am I supposed to do a master reset if I can't get to the menu!?!?
