I need to get some deleted text messages off of my phone(legal matter) is there a way to do that? What if changed the card and bought a new card and put he new one in the phone....can I get the deleted messages off of my old card? Another question if I change out the card with a new one will I loose all my contacts & pics on my phone? Thanks for any help.

The text messages are not stored on the SD card. There are several third party applications in the Android Market that will backup your text message to an email address or to the SD card as an xml file. Just search sms backup on the market and choose one that best fits after you read the descriptions and reviews.

I think I heard one time that Verizon's servers may have old text messages on them for a while, but you would have to contact Verizon directly to find out. Unfortunately, once texts are deleted from your phone, there is no way to get them back (unless, of course, Verizon does have them stored somewhere).

After opening 'messaging' click on the Menu command key. This will open a window at the bottom of the screen. One of the menu options is 'Delete Threads'. When you click on this button, the next screen gives you the option to select all or select individual threads to delete.
