Oh, and personally, when I qualify for a new phone in 2013, I'm hoping it will be a WP8 device. I like the idea of having a unified experience across all my devices (phone, xbox, and laptop). But, if Microsoft and the phone manufacturer's drop the ball, I will go to Apple's iPhone 5 land.

Wrong! When Mango was released it did NOT have LTE support. The LTE bits were still under development and being tested by various carriers/oem's. Of course, NOW mango's LTE bits are ready and tested. Also, why would Verizon be in a rush to jump on the WP7 bandwagon? It doesn't really matter to me anyway, since I am waiting on WP8 devices.

I kind of wish they'd be in a rush. I'm still using the TouchPro2 which is 2yrs old, mainly becuase there hasn't been a decent windows phone since. I've pretty much already missed the smartphone revolution, don't want to wait another year. I hate droids. And not a huge fan of apple either (have an ipad2).

I don't think you have to worry about Microsoft or the Phone manufactures dropping the ball so much as you have to worry about Verizon not carrying any of it or just being late to the party...actually they are already late to the party. If Verizon won't bring update 8107 anytime soon, (please do I hate when my keyboard disappears) I'd jump ship rather than buy a new phone from them and suddenly expect them to keep version 8 up to date.

I'm in the same boat as us jcb193; I want a WP device that is not the Trophy. The BIG problem right now is that I heavily rely on corporate Exchange server and from what I understand is that WP7 doesn't support the security policies that Exchange enforces. So it looks like I'll have to wait till WP8 is released now Which means at a minimum waiting till at least summer for a device on any carrier.

Yeah, it seems as though 7.5 is just a quick fix to appease some 7.0 users. The real power won't be seen until WP8, which has an entirely new code base. So why bother with WP until the real deal is released?!? I'm sure Verizon is wondering the same thing.

WP7 works fine with Exchange security policies. We use it to connect to our corporate exchange server all the time and ours is pretty strict. Why do you say that it won't work?
