Email notifier doesn't work when screen is off (HTC Rhyme)

Maybe this will help??

From page 325 of the HTCRhymeUserGuide.pdf  :

 "Unlike the usual Sleep mode, when you press the POWER button to turn off the screen display, a scheduled Sleep mode turns off the Wi-Fi and data connections during the sleep mode schedule you defined."

1. From the Home screen, press MENU, then tap Settings

2. Tap POWER>Enable sleep mode.

3. Tap Automatic, Manual, or Never.  (Automatic switches HTC Rhyme to Sleep mode;  Manual allows you to specify the Sleep mode start and end time; Never turns scheduled Sleep mode off.)

Try selecting "Manual" and change the sleep mode to the hours when you are actually sleeping.  or experiment with "Never" and see if it makes a difference.

i'm having the same problem. it used to work just fine until i messed with my settings.

i put my settings back to "Never" sleep and restarted my phone a few times, but still not working.

it seems that it shuts off both my 3G and my wi-fi when the display is turned off.

has anyone figured this issue out? i really don't want to reset to factory settings.
