If you are using VVM (Visual Voice Mal) there is a menu in VVM app that allows the message to be emailed or text to another account or person..l

I do not subscribe to Visual Voice Mail and I don't want to pay approximately $3 per month to get it. Can I do this just through the regular voicemail system?

Dana,
Go to the message you want to foreword. Touch the message so you get the black & white copy of it on your screen. Then press the MENU button (lower left corner of your phone). Then touch foreword and you will see that you can send the message as an EMAIL or to a mobile phone number of anyone you want to send it to.
Thanks for getting me to try to solve this dilemma.
Please tell me how this works for you...thanks and best regards,
JerryF
PS, WOW...I just tried this with a photo and found out that you can also forward a photo that was received in a text message.
This is a great hidden feature and I love it!

Community,
You actually don't need to have visual voicemail in order to forward a voice mail message to another Verizon user.
When you dial *86 (or press & hold 1) to access the voicemail system, you will then enter the voice mail password, once the password has been entered, you will then listen to the message, once the message has been heard, press 6 to send a copy to the 10 digit number you want to forward the message to.
I hope that helps!
Thanks!

Thank you Tamara H. Your answer is more direct for Dana because she said Voicemail Messages.
My answer told her how to foreword TXT messages and even a Photo that was included with a TXT message.

I agree that YouMail works well and this is what I use but I payed for the Better YouMail app also because I like the interface better but there is one thing that makes this not work for the original question... YouMail uses its own VM server to answer messages and all messages on Verizon are not ported over so the user cant send any messages before using YouMail.

I've tried to do this and it continues to fail. The messages always bounce back with a message that says the voicemail was not delivered. I am using an Android phone sending voicemail to another line on my VZW account which is an iPhone. Is this possible?

I believe that may be your issue because the iPhone uses a different voicemail client and they are usually not compatible..
