How to switch between LTE and non-LTE phones without going into the store?

So here is the deal, I have a Thunderbolt LTE android phone and I have a Xperia Play non-LTE phone.  I want to be able to easily switch between them:

- without going to the store

- without "breaking" the simcard and needing another one

How can I switch the service inbetween the phones?  I did this one time many months ago and I had to go to the store and get a new sim card, which is ridiculous.

It is possible on vzw.com if you understand how it works...

You mean switch the PHONE numbers on them correct!?

1. If they are both LTE devices then it is simple GSM protocol of switching the SIM cards between VZW LTE devices.

2. If one of them is a 3G device then you need to go to www.vzw.com and switch the phone number profile to a different device's 3G CDMA MEID/ESN. On that 3G device you need to dial *228 option 2.

3. On 4G devices replacing SIM cards is just plain stupid because the workers there are NOT computer programmers. VZW.com allows for switching the SIM card from 3G to 4G upgrade or 4G to 4G provisioning BETWEEN devices by clicking on a phone number, change device and there's an option with EXISTING SIM card, insert that SIM card's serial number (IMSI#) and bingo you are done...
