Hello,
I have the Samsung Fascinate phone and I've had it for almost a month now. I recently updated my phone with the new software that was pushed to my phone. After the update, I began to receive the following message: "Activity TwLauncher (in process com.sec.android.app.twlauncher) is not responding. I'm not able to slide the pages on my phone like I used to; the phone freezes at times too. What should I do? Please help if you can. I greatly appreciate it.

Sorry to learn of this difficulty. I would like to provide you with some troubleshooting steps for a resolution. To troubleshoot, tap Menu>Applications>Manage Applications>tap on the Running tab, and force close all applications, widgets, etc. This will clear all cache.

Did you do a factory reset after you received the update to FroYo ( Android 2.2)? To completely clear the issue you are having it might be worth completing one now if you haven't already done a factory reset.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Sorry you're having this problem. After a bit of research, I found this is an issue that has been reported about all Samsung Android devices, across all providers, which is normally caused by a corrupt widget.
To troubleshoot, tap Menu>Applications>Manage Applications>tap on the Running tab, and force close all applications, widgets, etc. Once completed, launch the widgets again, as this would have cleared all the cache resolved the matter.
Thanks!

Hi, I have the Galaxy S. The Task Manager shows 0 applications open but I still always get the Tw launcher is not responding message. Since the system update on May 25th nothing works! I have done a reset and even closed down and taken the battery out for a couple minutes.

Can you please tell us how to do the factory reset? The twlauncher crashes and I can't get to the settings menu. I can't get to any of my menus, any of my messages, any of my contacts.
Please tell us how to reset the phone w/o having to use settings>applications.

Turn the power off, Hold the Vol. Button Down,Press and release the Power Button You are now presented with a menu that allows for Fastbook, Recovery, Clear Storage, and Simlock 5. Select Clear Storage by pressing the Volume Down button 6. Press and release the Power button 7. Now simply confirm your decision: Volume Up for YES and Volume Down for NO If you selected YES, all data including third-party applications will be deleted from the Samsung Fascinate. Once the wipe is complete, the phone will reboot to its factory fresh state.

So my problem started with the error message discussed above, then I followed your instruction to reboot phone. Turned phone off, then held volume button and pushed power button then release. NOW my phone has a black and yellow screen that reads: Downloading... Do not turn off Target!! (with a robot sweeping). I waited a couple of hours before I tried to restart, didnt work, now ive taken battery out and I go back to the com.sec.android.app,twlauncher (force close) error message. This also started after a recent update a few days ago.
after my last update, I had to reset my phone because my camera was not working, kept saying please wait.... and after weeks of waiting, decided it was time for a hard reset.
please help! Thanks
