Which is better to turn on for things that need to determine location and such?

The VZW portion or the Google?  My weatherbug elite can't update unless I have one fo these on.

Here is some more information that might prove useful.  I have the VZW location service turned on and am reinstalling weatherbug elite.  I have enbable background updates checked along with enable my location and enable follow me.  I hit "ok" and I get this message

"At least one location provider must be available before using My Location.  Check your system Settings"

Any idea what's going on with the VZW location?  If I enable the google portion it does not give me that message.

I have the standalone GPS and Google Location services active on my Tbolt and I don't have any issues with displaying the wrong location.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

The option you need turned on is controlled by the GPS icon at the top of your screen (after sliding your finger to bring down your toolbar). You want to make sure this icon is yellow. If it is not already, simply tap on it. This error message should then go away.

Thanks!

Try... Menu > Settings > Location & security and see if either Use wireless networks or GPS satellites are ticked.
