DMR should probably be DRM (Digital Rights Management)
Someone else will have to answer the how Doubletwist works. Itunes has always been banned from installation on my computers. I am read that others have has success with it. The application has been reviewed and suggested by several android sites that I read too.
You are right Ann, that's what I get for thinking about another thing while typing a response. DMR = Designated Marksman rifle, DRM = Digital Rights Management.
And no, winamp is not doubletwist. I'd encourage you the original poster to google Droid X Itunes for ways to transfer the library as many effective ways cannot be discussed here.

Best way I found to do the with as minimal intervention is use a App call ISyncr. Its a paid app but does what it claims to do

Thanks so much everyone for your great advice!!!!!
I used the Winamp application and it worked great!!! Thanks so much to the poster that suggested it!!!
It didn't upload my entire iTunes library but I'm guessing I need a larger GB card?
Here's another dumb question if ya'll don't mind.....
When I first turn on my Droid X, where it says "This phone belongs to......", how do I put my name there?
This is a GREAT forum with GREAT members!!! Again, thank you all SO VERY MUCH!!!!!!

only problem with that app is, as per the description in the market, it doesn't remove the DMR from the songs, so there are songs that won't be able to be played.....I have mainly DMR songs so pointless to have an app unless there is way to make ALL the songs play on my droid x

How do I add my iTunes library to my Droid X? My iTunes library is on a Windows PC.
Thanks so much!
Your iTunes folder is stored in Computer-->User--> My Music
When you add your music to iTunes, copy everything to your iTunes folder and then take the entire iTunes folder and drag it to your SD card.
