unlock samsung fascinate

My husband just got this phone and is getting very frustrated and I can't seem to figure it out either so I hope someone here can help. After the screen goes black and if he gets a call he has to put a puzzle piece in place to answer the call. I know you can change it to a password or pattern but is there any way to completely turn it all off so he doesn't have to unlock it at all to use???

Thank you for the feedback and assistance. Adding to what was stated, the unlock code pattern would need to be entered to be able to unlock the phone, or else if it could be disabled without unlocking it, this could defeat the purpose to prevent unauthorized access. As a suggestion, perhaps ask the one who locked it to supply the unlock code puzzle piece pattern to try unlocking the device. The correct pattern will be displayed in green and red if its the incorrect pattern.

Once you unlock the device, please try these steps below to disable the unlocking function on your phone.

1. From the Home screen, touch Menu, then SettingsLocation & security.

2. Touch Use visible pattern to enable or disable visible patterns. When enabled, a check mark appears in the check box.

The only thing I am seeing you can do is either the Puzzle unlock or Glass unlock located under SETTINGS | DISPLAY SETTINGS | UNLOCK SCREEN . When you receive a call, you are prompted with the call, you can answer, reject, or send back a message. I use the Glass unlock, so when I take my phone out of sleep, I just slide the glass from left to right, and it unlocks.

Go to Android Central and do a search for hidden menu, you can turn off locking feature altogether.
