Receiving text messages online

I am unable to have my cell phone with me at work, but need to be able to check my text messages throughout the day.  Is there a way I can check text messages sent to my cell phone while online?  It seems like it should be an easy thing to do.  With my e-mail it is sent to my inbox but is also saved to my webmail...can't something like this be done with text messages?

Hello,

Although text messages that are sent directly to your cell phone number cannot be checked online, you can send text messages from our website and choose to receive responses through your device and web. You can also have them send a text message to your work email address.

That's unfortunate.  I also have the need to periodically check for text messages when my phone does not have service access.

If your phone does not have service, then the text messages will not be received until you are in an area where you receive a signal. Messages will be stored for 5 days, and delivered to your device when signal is available.
