After careful review, I learned this is an issue known to HTC who are in the process of creating a fix which would be pushed directly to your phone once completed. I apologize as I have no timeframe or additional information regarding these messages being deleted. I am also sorry to explain that once they are deleted from your phone, the messages cannot be retrieved.

Mine did the same thing! Even ones that were locked!! And I know I had the box checked (or not checked) to NOT delete them!
Someone please tell us what is going on!

I sent an email to Verizon. Should get a response in 24 hours or less... I will post their response. Sorry this happened to you too. Hope this is not a frequently recurring problem.

I just called Tech supports and they claim it is because of an app that I have downloaded... The ONLY app I have on the phone, is the one that the guy at the store put on there - the Advanced Task Killer. He "Highly Recommended" that I put it on there to save the battery life and he loaded it on there for me and they are saying that's what caused the problem. I am very very upset about this. I use this phone for business purposes and now, all of my messages are gone and there were several things that needed follow up. Very Very disappointing.

I don't have that app...so what's the excuse then? ugh
super annoying. Instead of creating NEW phones/items- fix the ones you have out already!

Did you happen to get any response from Verizon? I woke up this morning & all my text messages were totally gone. I as well am very not happy about it, but at least feel a little better knowing this is happening to others.
