Thanks....so far the Ham app is working great. I've been chatting with Ham Radio operators from all over the world using this app. The Verizon network is excellent for this product.

As per your question on how this Ham Radio App works....First, you have to be a FCC licenses Amateur Radio Operator. The app will not work if you do not have a license. By doing a Google search you can find additional information on obtaining a Ham radio license. The application allows you to use the Verizon network to gain access to the Ham band via several servers and satellite uplinks. This provides for a complete world-wide communications link to Ham operators all around the globe, and it's free!

Scotty,
I'm considering purchasing a DROID for my wife and I... I'm interested in the Echolink application, I have a repeater on node 3333. The question I have is, what DROID model are you guys using for this? I'm seeing DROID GLOBAL, DROID INCREDIBLE, etc... Does this application apply to all DROID models?
Thanks,
David

Most apps that work with the Motorola Droid should work fine with the Droid X, Droid Pro and Droid 2 being that they are all made by Motorola. It's most likely that the App will work with other Android phones as well.
