LG ally. pictures to SD card

I have the LG Ally and I can't figure out how to save my pictures that I take with my camera phone onto my sd card. I couldn't really find anything telling me how to. the only thing i have found is people saying you have to download an app. Is this true? If so that's completely stupid. If anyone knows how to do this i would greatly appreciate it if you would help me. Thank you!

If the phone is taking pictures, it should be saving them to the sd card by default. There isn't enough memory on the phone itself to save there. There are a couple of ways to check. Download a file explorer app (estrongs, astro, etc) to your phone; plug the phone into a computer as a disc drive; or turn the phone off, take out the sd card and read the card on the computer with a card reader.
