Alltel did not support Facebook Mobile. Although Verizon Wireless has taken over Alltel, Facebook Mobile is recognizing your phone and number as an Alltel device.

I've been using it before, so that's not the truth. We have 3 facebook accounts in our house, and we have ALL checked them on this phone. The problem, after a lot of research on the internet is a root certificate that facebook changed.
Please get YOUR facts straight, and don't tell me what my phone did when you didn't see it yourself. My phone has done facebook before. I have had mobile web activated since last summer, and I do recall, for your information, that I have updated my profile from my phone numerous times, before the merger. So don't tell me that it doesn't work. Because it has. Many times, and I'd just like it fixed. What difference does it make if it's a Verizon device or Alltel?
So please next time get your facts straight.
Thank you!

Never mind, my facebook mobile is back. After 4 very long weeks. Thanks for nothing! I'm still looking at switching providers...

Unfortunately, I'm currently having this problem. Is there a fix for it, or do I also have to wait it out?

The problem you are experiencing with facebook is a known issue, that we are currently working on. A trouble ticket has been submitted. At this time a ETR has not been set. I would like to apologize for any inconveniences this has caused you.

My issue is coming from Pix Place, where I keep getting this message when try to link accounts:
"internet explorer blocked this website from displaying content with security certificate errors"
EXCEPT explorer is ONLY blocking when trying to access thru Pix Place ... so, considering other issues you folks have on your plate, seems clear the issue is within Verizon
Primary reason to purchase this phone was to get photos OFF pix place & into public arena ... I've been with company for almost 7yrs now ... Thinking really hard 'bout kicking you guys to the curb ... Service just gets worse & worse, staff just getting surlier, keeps me thinking of Lily Tomlin: We're the phone company. We don't care. We don't have to. Well, looked what happened there...

I have BRAND NEW device.
This is NOT just FB vs Verizon issue -- I am completely blocked from linking to any site (YouTube, Facebook, My Space) YET can access these pages directly just fine. Either problem is within Verizon or Internet Explorer v9.
Is this known issue? Has ticket been submitted? When can we expect Verizon to take this problem seriously?!?!?

Hello novoleu! I'm here to help with the Pix Place issue you've described. You've stated that you're getting an error message when trying to access Pix Place. I can see why you're frustrated! I do have a question. You also mention Internet Explorer as being involved in your concern, but you also mention your phone. Are you trying to access Pix Place with a computer or with your phone?
