The sound setting uncontrollably keeps changing from "Normal" to "Vibrate" without any input from me. As soon as I change the setting and volume back, it does it over and over. I have no control of this. All protection scans are normal. I have powered off and back on several times, but my phone continues to do this? Please help. Thanks.

I may have some good news. The volume up/down did not appear to be stuck.
Nevertheless, after I responded to your email yesterday, the issue I was
having kept popping up on my screen and really annoyed me. So, keeping
your suggestion to look further into the volume up/down buttons, I went
into the sound settings, and instead of using my finger to put the settings
where they should be. I ran through the volume up/down settings several
times in case this was the problem. It's now close to 24 hours later, and
my phone has not acted up anymore. Thus, I think you helped me repair
it. Thank you very much.

Let's make sure your phone is only doing what you want it to do. We can help. When did this issue begin? Any physical or liquid damage to the device? Is the software up to date?

Thank you so much for responding to the problem I am having. My phone has
never sustained any water or physical damage. The problem started 2 months
ago. It's as though someone or something has control over my phone, or at
least this one thing. Trouble is every time it happens it pops up on the
screen forcing me to have to go to the sound settings each time. Then, as
soon as I change the sound setting back, it does it all over again. I am
able to obtain some respite from this by clicking the "back" arrow on my
phone which takes the pop up off the screen, and NOT go to the sound
settings to make the correction. Trouble with doing this is my phone will
not ring. My phone is also fully updated with the latest software
updates. I have also shut down and restarted the phone numerous times, and
run the Verizon trouble shooter. In addition, I have noticed that
sometimes when the phone does this, it simultaneously changes the battery
to a higher power use position, and I only discover this when I suddenly
observe my battery level rapidly diminishing. Sure hope you can help me.
Thanks.

Dippitydo, I depend on my phone every day. Let me assure you that we’ll do everything we can to get it working properly. When did you notice this issue start to happen? Does the volume down key appear stuck in a position?

Once again, thank you for responding. The problem started a couple of
months ago. The volume up/down control is not stuck.
The issue is that the sound setting automatically and uncontrollably
changes from "Normal," or ringtone, to "Vibrate Only." Simultaneously, my
phone makes a loud "Pop" sound, and a pop up of my sound settings appears
on the screen. The pop up first notifies me the setting has changed to
vibrate without ringtone, and then a second pop up appears showing the
volume settings for ringtone, notifications, etc. I cannot go into the pop
ups to change the settings back. I have to hit Cancel at the bottom of the
screen, leave what I am doing, go into settings for sound control on my
phone and reset them where I want. Trouble is just as soon as I return to
what I am doing, or even if I try to turn off the screen, this happens all
over again, and continues uncontrollably.
Can you be of any help, or not?
Thanks.
