OTA update bricked my ellipsis, is there a way to sideload the old firmware?

Yesterday I performed a factory reset since I knew there was supposed to be an update and every time I checked it said it was in the process of downloading...for several days.  I performed the factory reset then later I checked to see if there was an update, it began to download.  I plugged in the tablet and after a couple hours checked on it to find it unresponsive.  I forced it to reboot, I get a red ellipsis screen then nothing.  Anyone know if it is possible to download the firmware, and install it via pc?  The tablet has not been damaged or submerged, they always ask that, but never offer a solution.

jonkmiller,

Thanks for the added details. If you have reset the device to factory settings and have had the same issues persist then there may be a hardware issue that can only be resolved by replacing the device. If the device is within warranty it can be replaced at no charge to you by calling our techincal support at 800-922-0204.

Jonkmiller,

No one likes to experience tablet issues. I’ve experienced a similar situation with my tablet. Help is here. Please be aware that there is not a way to downgrade the software. Have you attempted another factory reset? If so, was the software update available?

I have one of these for my son. I've been told to 1. always make sure you use the factory charger including wall plug and cable with it 2. if your having the challenge your having try to plug it into a computer for 45 mins to trickle charge it.. After 45 min then unplug it and plug it into the wall via the factory charger. Sometimes these tablets get deeply discharged and the trickle charge on the PC helps to bring it back. It worked for the unit we have in our household and I had tried everything!

Still nothing on this, even took it to a Verizon Wireless store...they told me to take it to a phone repair shop.

jonkmiller We want to to enjoy using your tablet. Our apologies for the issues since the recent update. Let's see how we can help. We have to inform you that there isn't a way to revert to the previous software once it has been updated. However, software is supposed to enhance your device.Tell us more about what's not working.

Nothing is working, the device shows the red ellipsis screen then goes black...that is all it does.  I have removed it from my account and plan to throw it in the garbage, the wireless store was less than helpful and constantly restarting the device is not working.

jonkmiller as a last ditch effort try to plug it into a computer for 30-45 minutes with the USB cable. After 30-45 mins then unplug from the computer and plug into the wall with the wall plug. This has helped others including my son with his device.
