Such confidence!!!! Though I don't have much to add here - I don't think regular MM phones have the ability to store text messages on the sd card; that feature seems to be more in the realm of smartphones. I lock those few messages I want to keep for whatever reason, and generally don't communicate critical information via text--I'll send an email that is easily retrievable.
SMS has become (or people have tried to make it) more than it was ever intended or envisioned to be, and then they get upset when it doesn't work like they feel it should. Short Messaging Services were never intended for critical, sensitive, or LONG communcations. It is for short, quick, notes to one another. If you have nmore to say, send an email or make a call. I realize texting has become THE way a lot of people communicate, and they expect it to be as robust as needed, but it ISN'T, and may not ever be. It's improved - enhanced messaging, longer messages....etc - but it's not ideal for longer communications or sensitive, legal, critical communications. There are better ways....
