When i'm on wifi, i see the phone still using LTE data. I never goes away to grays out. Some search on the net suggests that visual voicemail or Called ID may be using it..not sure how to turn that off when i'm on wifi. Went to Verizon store but they were clueless about it and basically said don't worry about it.
Anyone else having the same issue on this device or other devices

Some data to and from verizon will still be used even on wifi. Only way to prevent mobile data use is to disable mobile data when on wifi or not needed. Most everything else will revert to wifi and not use mobile data though.

Thats different how it used to be. On My S3, every time i connected to Wifi, LTE icon would go away..thanks for replying

Yeah, a lot of the older phones did separate, but the newer ones do not any longer.
