I keep getting a message that I don't have a valid verizon simm card.......I have never changed it!

I keep getting a message that I don't have a valid Verizon sim card.......I have never changed it! Any ideas?

Power off, take out SIM, reinsert and power on. If no good, might need a new SIM. Free from corporate Verizon stores (not retailers) or from calling customer support.
