Shout out to @Snn5, I did as he recommended for updating and so far my G3 is running like a champ. I will update later as for battery life or any glitches that might show that I didn't have on kitkat.

I do know that it is a PIA to go back and get all the APPS and settings as I had them before but I am working on it.

I do believe I agree with a fresh phone and then load Lollipop, do not let the phone or google add your old apps back, download them again from the play store.

Outstanding.  I only wish that there was a "recommended actions" mention on the update screen, or even the ability to have this process automated for the consumer.

An automated process to upgrade the phone's OS to a "clean" phone where the user would have to go in and actually do some work to get the phone back how they like it, even though it has a better chance of successfully updating the OS without all of the conflicts with apps from the old OS. Surely you jest...

I know...that thought is always in my mind that, "It should just install and work."  I guess I can see where the consumer is right and where maybe the software could be more informative...kind of like a compromise or some flexibility.  But then, when major updates came along, if there were fewer issues, all we would be helping out with would be service complaints and plan/bill questions.

I love the overall interface, the entire notifications options are very confusing and we are having issues with notifications not working on wifi, Verizon's representatives have been helpful while their hands are kind of tied up with the buggy update. We really like the phone just wish they would have waited, and not forced us to update to Lollipop. KitKat was flawless!! Trying to keep it positive...waiting for the next update!

I have to say, that Lollipop seems so smooth on my unit, no lag, no jittery functionality. Just smooth.

No BT or wifi issues. Not sure of notifications, I do not have emails sent to notify but all other apps have sent me notifications. Battery seems to be a tab better but I keep chargers in my truck, work and home. So hardly ever worry about juice. I always turn of high accuracy on tracking and leave it at battery saving mode. Only turn it on when I need maps.

With no recharges?  Not even plugging into the PC for a few min to transfer a file?  I cant really get more than 36 hours off a full charge.

No plugging in whatsoever. 4 straight days average between charges! And I leave my wifi on continuously, text like crazy, constantly check the weather & time, play a little Candy Crush, log into Verizon every day to see what wonderful Daily Deal they have to offer through Smart Rewards , and make a couple of calls daily. Never been so happy with a cellphone. There are some aspects of lollipop that I'm not fond of but overall I'm happy. Still can't wait to get a G4 though!!!
