How to upload music from iPad to Verizon Cloud?
doctorkurtschleg

I just purchased a new iPhone 6 Plus from Verizon and activated Verizon Cloud. I am trying to share music files from my old iPad 2 (with Verizon Cloud installed) to the cloud, using my home WiFi so that I can access them on the new iPhone. (The iPad 2 is not on a cellular plan.) The Verizon Cloud app (and the website) will not give me the option to upload music files to the cloud from my iPad. I get a message which says to go to the Verizon Cloud webpage for more information on where to download an app and upload music through the web. I was able to upload my contacts and photos, and there is an option to upload videos, but not music. Do I need to download an additional app for this to work? What am I missing?

You're not doing anything wrong. At present you can't upload/backup music to Verizon Cloud. Hopefully someone else will advise a suggestion for which app or methond to use to copy your files to/from your ipad & iph6.

I appreciate all the troubleshooting you have done so far doctorkurtschleg! If the tablet is not an activated service than there is no way to move the music over to your phone unless you do it via the website. You do have another option. You can use the iCloud from Apple. This will allow you to share photos, music and much more. You would go to Settings>iCloud> and you would sign in and do a back up. It should automatically sync your information. After this is done you can than save it to Verizon Cloud or continue to use the iCloud. Thanks for your response. I have tried the web (Verizon Cloud website) to upload the music files from my iPad 2. When I click on upload, the only choices I get for files to upload are photos which I have already copied over to the new iPhone. Is there another website I should be using? I have the music files on my laptop too. Can I expect direr ent results if I try from there? Thanks.

OK, thank you. I'll figure it out somehow with iTunes which has been a problem, too. Thanks for your help.

No worries! Let's see how we can help you get your music transferred. If you did not save your music to the Verizon Cloud then you wouldn't see it on the website. For clarification, is all of your media saved to the Apple iCloud? What happens if you use iCloud to transfer music?
