I said I would post a positive report if my https://community.verizonwireless.com/message/1214585#1214585 post turned out well. I finally figured out how to get the promised extender from Verizon. After two hours on the phone with tier 2, it works. As reported previously (I should have checked here first), the extender may not work with voice LTE turned on; turn it off and all is well. The person that got me an extender, and the tier 2 tech that figured out the LTE issue, have restored my faith in Verizon.
