I've only had my S5 for a couple months but had been very happy with battery life. Suddenly today, my battery started draining like crazy and now I have some sort of malware that pops up every time I use my S5. It uses whatever browser I have as default to pop up some page from www.edonamo.com advertising some sort of teeth whitening ot other tooth care product. I've searched all over the internet and can find no info on edonamo.com. Neither Verizon Security nor Malwarebytes will get rid of it. Help!

Made an account just to tell you guys this. I am not a verzion customer, I am a tmobile one, and well I have this same problem.
If you guys have a app called AdBlock Plus, uninstall it/remove it. This is what did the trick for me and made it so that the website edonamo and the ads stop coming up every time I went into my phone. Hopefully this was able to help you guys. If it wasn't this app that was causing it and you still have the problem I would check the most recent app you installed and remove it to try to fix the problem.

I'm having the same issue with my Note 4. Unlocking my phone results in the Internet browser coming up with a redirect from edonamo.

I'm having the same issue. Anti-virus and anti-spyware apps are not finding anything, and it is extremely annoying. I'm also seeing a lot more ads in places I never saw them before, and Play Store pops up with stupid suggested game apps.

Weird stuff... all I can assume is that you may need to do a backup and restore if no other anti malware program is removing it. I wonder if the tooth whitening stuff is any good...

My go to program on the computer for removing junk is malewatebytes and the app gets good reviews so try a scan with it and remove what it finds. Mary

Unfortunately, as per my original post, Malwarebytes didn't touch it.

Yes! That confirms it. I just logged on to say it was one of a few apps that my son deleted from my phone that resulted in getting rid of this annoyance, and Adblock Plus was one of those.
