Can you tell us or give us some idea as to what you expect out of the Android OS?  What OS are you using now?  Many here have used a couple of the OS available on phones today and can help you chose the correct OS which might be best for you?  Elaborate somewhat.  Good Luck with your choice.

Yes, Android is good!  But, as japetty stated - a bit more information may help us answer the "real" question - will Android be good for YOU?

I've used Blackberry OS (and loved it), moved to Android and found a lot to like about it.  I've since used the Windows OS, and it was serviceable, though I think, for me, Android is better.  There are definitely more apps for Android, and some of the Windows "equivalents" are not very usable.  But it all depends on what you do with your phone, and what apps you want and need.

PS - My kids have iPhones, love them, and I have no interest whatsoever in iOS!!

So As Japetty and SuzyQ have stated this is a subjective question and depends heavily on what you plan on using the phone for. I have used and still use today the Android, Apple and Blackberry operating systems. Have used the Windows OS for a short while and hated it.

So what I normally tell people is the following

Blackberry - Good for Business use

Apple - Good if you want a completely locked down phone where all you do is add apps and use the phone

Android - Good for a Stable phone, with the ability to Tinker and set the phone up as you want (to a point) without violating the warranty of perceived rules, and you have tons of apps.

As far as apps go you have pretty much the same selection on Apple as you do on Android.

My preference of them all is Android but based on how I use my phone.
