I want to block an app that my teenage son has downloaded on his phone. How do i do this without him knowing it until it is done?

i want to block instagram from my teenage son's iPhone 4s. He a has it downloaded. How do i do this without him knowing it until it is done?

The only way to do it is to physically take his phone and remove the app. Instagram is photo sharing etc.
