Can't you just get an updated copy of the form in order to comply with the discount requirements that you are VOLUNTARILY applying for?

There is no such thing as an updated DD-214 the records center in Missouri sends a photostate of the records on file.
I still have my original in a safe deposit box, I once had a copy sent and it was just a sloppy copy.
So he is doing what he can to get a discount. However I think the discount is for active duty personnel. I could be incorrect on that but my service separation paper was not accepted either.
Good Luck

Ah. That would make sense. And possibly explains why the form has to be recent in order for the discount to apply.

I think they are looking for the military id. It puzzles me about the DD 214.
