how can I cancel the service?

My contract end date is 10 January, 2014 and I wanna cancel the service as soon as possible. Right before coming to my country, I tried to cancel the service because but I did not have SSN and I did not know the account password. There was a possibility that the cell phone provider decided that password because he came to our college and sold a lot of phones to us (international students). Anyway, I am in Korea now not in the U.S. and wanna cancel the service right away. plz, help me out!
