I got my phone maybe 2 weeks ago and had no problem sending or receiving text messages. For the past 2 days, i have not been able to receive text messages from other iPhone users. My texts go through just fine but I never get a response back until they call and are like "well what do you think about blah blah?" But I have sent and rec'd text messages from people with other devices. What is going on?
Oh my! Let's ensure these text messages are flying both in and out of your device. I would suggest completing the newest iOS 7.0.3 update. Once this has been completed I would suggest retesting. Settings > Software update
You may also test with iMessage off. This will send messages to and from iPhone's as a regular text message. Settings > Messages > iMessage - Off
